writer

Young Rob started writing stories in Middle School. The important ones. You know… Knights besieging castles. Robots rising against their masters. Talking racehorses who form a union and boycott the Kentucky Derby. Defining stuff.

But the true impetus for my chosen career was reading. From an early age, once I picked up a book, I couldn’t put it down. I would read all night. Anything, everything, flashlight under my blanket so that my parents didn’t know I was still awake when they went to bed. Becoming a writer wasn’t so much a choice, as an unconscious desire to do what all these writers I was reading were doing - ie. keeping people up far later than they should be with their stories.

So I wrote. And I am still writing. Over the last fifteen years I have written screenplays, comic books, articles, web content, and everything else in between. I have worked as a storyteller in other capacities - as an editor, a creative executive,  and as a crew member on film and television productions. From million dollar movies to SEO articles tailored to pleasing an algorithm rather than an audience, I have written it all, and loved writing it all, because doing this is exactly what I’ve always wanted to do.
